Wildcrafting Florida Native Blackberries

Blackberry season for north Florida is coming to an end.  With bucket, gloves and berry stick in hand, we have made six trips during the last half of June, 2014 and, to date, have picked 57 1/2 lbs of wild Florida native blackberries!  We'll squeeze in one more trip, of mostly gleaning....maybe we'll cap at 60 pounds!!  What a blessing the Lord has bestowed on us to be able to harvest these organic wild Florida blackberries.

With these blackberries, we have made pie, oatmeal cookies, banana bread, muffins, Kickapoo juice and more.  If you have not already pre-ordered your blackberry pie for this week, be sure to contact me soon so you'll be able to pick them up at the Growers' Market at Lake Ella next week.  If you want a blackberry pie for this holiday weekend, contact me immediately so you'll be able to pick them up at the farm in Crawfordville Thursday afternoon.  You are welcome to prepay with a credit card online, contact me and I'll provide additional instructions.

This week at the Growers' Market at Lake Ella, we'll have Blackberry Banana bread slices and chocolate chip cookies.  If you haven't already pre-ordered, you are welcome to for next Wednesday's pick-up at the Growers' Market and/or at the farm.

We love growing healthy food and appreciate you very much, thank you so much for stopping by!
