Our Very Own Bear

We are officially getting closer to seeing that "silly old bear" that seems to have taken up residence here in the area of our Little Eden Heirloom Farm.  With an old log at the northeast property line shredded a few weeks ago to getting a good woofing to early one morning last month.  Well... now we have bear scat.  No, I didn't take a picture of it but it is textbook bear scat.... We have watermelons that are looking great and the cantaloupe are growing nicely also......I wonder if a stern talking to will keep him from eating our produce.  We've got the pepper plants in their own "pen" to keep the deer out along with the water chestnuts to keep the raccoons out.  Between the bunny, geese and goat pens and the future chicken pens....it is going to be an interesting maize for sure. :)
