Welcome to our Little Eden
Each day we ask for the Lord's guidance and with a lot of hard work, Little Eden Heirloom Farm is open. We specialize in organically growing various old fashion heirloom vegetables, herbs, fruit and flower varieties and although not certified, we grow everything using strict organic methods.
Throughout the colder months, hundreds of seeds were planted and nurtured under artificial lighting, placing their little bodies in the ground along with seeds directly planted with a gentle touch and a stern word or two to our collection of wonderful southern garden pests....I assure you....the word "Shoo" does not work...............
Ron and I welcome you to our busy farm and studio.
For your convenience, we'll update our 2014 Availability List on our Facebook group each Sunday and Wednesday so you can see what is in season and ready for purchase. You are always invited to contact us with any questions you may have. Our contact information is at closing of this entry and on the availability list as well. Feel free to send us an email or call us with a run-down of your requests and when you'll stop by for pick-up. You are welcome to inquire if you are interested in purchasing a prepaid Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription. Until we learn what local interests are, these will be very limited and will be either weekly, monthly or 16 week subscriptions. A one-two person share subscription is $20 per week. You should receive 6-10 items each week, depending on what's in season, not warranting any unkind acts of nature. Payments can be made in cash or with credit card through PayPal.
In this blog you'll be sure to see lots of "around the farm" activity updates whether it's a new heading of purple cauliflower to a new hatchling of a rare or endangered bird we raise....or some wild critter we happened up and we must not forget all those garden pests and we'll be sure to share how we are organically dealing with them. Ron and I are both nature lovers and take hundreds of photographs each week. We are both artists and will share some of our sculptures, paintings, etc. with you. Our lives are dedicated to organic heirloom farming and to the preservation of rare and endangered geese and other fowl and animals. We are neither king nor people in authority but I love the words of 1 Timothy 2:2-3: "For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;"
We are excited and look forward to sharing lots of good things with you!
